SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 4, 2007) – The 28 th annual Exotic Erotic Ball and Expo, the internationally acclaimed Celebration of Flesh, Fantasy, and Freedom and - according to E! Entertainment TV - “ The World's #1 Wildest and Sexiest Party,” has announced its best weekend travel deals ever. The Radisson in Brisbane, the Courtyard Marriott in San Bruno, the Hilton Garden Inn in South San Francisco, and Larkspur Landing have all stepped up to offer discounted rates from $94 to $104 per night, all of them within 7 miles from the event. The Radisson has blocked entire floors for Ball guests, and the Courtyard has reserved an entire building.
The Ball and Expo both occur at the Cow Palace in San Francisco over Halloween Weekend, commencing Friday afternoon, October 26, with the Expo and concluding Saturday night, October 27, with the Ball. "The Ball" has been titillating San Francisco audiences with arousing amusement for over a quarter-century, and is widely considered the #1 adult-themed party event in the world. The 2007 Ball is being produced in association with XFANZ. The "Expo" is a two-day event which begins Friday at Noon, features its own entertainment lineup, in addition to over 100 exhibits showcasing the latest in exotic fashion, erotic art, adult products, games, websites, and novelties, and is being sponsored by XBiz.com.
Snoop Dogg will perform live at the Expo on Friday night as part of a benefit performance for The Healing Circle, the Center for Self Improvement, and other Bay Area charities. Snoop will return the next night as a special guest at the Ball, where he will join Tera Patrick and Danny Bonaduce as judges of the Ball's world famous costume contests. The 3 contest winners will share over $10,000 in cash and prizes, including 4 nights at Mexico's plush Cabo Villa Beach Resort. A customized Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival will be presented at both the Expo and the Ball, with Spike himself creating the all-star lineup for the occasion. Musical performances also include the West Coast debut of The Spyderz (the latest rock troupe from Evan Seinfeld, ex- Biohazard frontman and star of HBO's hit series, Oz), America’s favorite house DJ Donald Glaude, and the all-little person tribute band Mini-Kiss.
Through its unique combination of mixing live mainstream musical, burlesque, and circus performances with political irreverence, humorous hijinks, and the outright bizarre - the Exotic Erotic Ball has delighted and regaled over half a million attendees and participants over its highly acclaimed history. The show fills a large arena, an even larger exposition hall and several smaller themed rooms, covering six acres in all. The sets and backdrops are visually dazzling, and there is always a large complement of celebrity guests. But many say it's the costumes and outfits worn by the 20,000+ attendees - colorful, creative, and captivating – that make the show truly unrivaled.
Expo activities include Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival showings; panel discussions on First Amendment rights; fashion shows; seminars for businesses; erotic poetry; a spiritual oasis with psychic readings and massage; body painting; a classic cinema; and a human petting zoo.
“About a third of our audience comes from outside California every year, and that's a lot of people” says Ball founder Perry Mann. “This year, we are pleased to pass along our hotel prices at cost, so if you're looking for a sexy vacation in a great city at a great price where fun is absolutely guaranteed – you can't do better than this!”
“The Radisson has an indoor heated pool, the Courtyard in San Bruno is the nicest Courtyard we've ever seen, and the Larkspur Landing has 1 bedroom suites with a kitchen – all for under $100 a night,” adds Ball Producer Howard Mauskopf. “This is the year to make the trip.”
“The premise to the Ball has always been simple,” says Mann. “We give people a safe haven to act out their fantasies - within the law, of course. We attract men and women of all ages, heterosexuals, gays, lesbians, and transsexuals. We welcome students, teachers, lawyers, stockbrokers, secretaries, doctors, nurses, and - of course - members of Congress. At our San Francisco Ball, people not only come from all over the Bay Area, but about a third of our crowd comes from outside California entirely. There was a time when many events had a real respect for their audience and focused their efforts on providing quality content within a spirit of respect and camaraderie; I am not sure that is so true today. But people know that at this event, it doesn't matter who you are or where you're from – at the Exotic Erotic Ball, everyone's a star!”

APPENDIX TO RELEASE: THE HISTORY OF THE BALL
Perry Mann organized the first Exotic Erotic Ball in 1979 to raise campaign funds for his buddy, the late Louis Abolafia, who was running for President with the Nudist Party under the slogan: “I have nothing to hide.” Louis is credited with coining the phrase, “Make Love, Not War” and his legendary Greenwich Village love-ins inspired the New York press to crown him “The Love King.”
Since its first year, more than 500,000 people have attended the Ball. The City of San Francisco has issued three proclamations for “Exotic Erotic Ball Day,” twice by former Mayor Willie Brown (in 1999 and again in 2001), and once by current Mayor Gavin Newsom (in 2004).
Celebrity guests and performers have included Grace Jones, Joan Jett, Kool & the Gang, Chris Isaak, Madonna, Sugar Ray, Dennis Rodman, Ron Jeremy, Motorhead, The Tubes, Everclear, Nina Hartley. In 2001, Mann (with Foreword by Dennis Rodman) released the book: The Exotic Erotic Ball: Twenty Years of the World's Sexiest Party . In 2004, Mann introduced the Exotic Erotic Expo, which grew into a two-day event in 2005 .
There was a time when many events were independently produced, and developed a following based upon having regard for their audience, providing quality content, and invoking a spirit of respect and camaraderie; I am not sure that is so true today. People who attend this event know it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or where you're from – at the Exotic Erotic Ball, everyone's a star!”
Over the past quarter-century, the Ball has evolved from local to world-renowned legend. It celebrates human sexuality, promotes freedom of expression, and has raised innumerable funds in support of many worthy charities, thus fostering strong ties to the community. The Ball is an ardent and vocal supporter of First Amendment Rights. Among its other causes have been AIDS, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, and problems of the inner city. It hosts an annual blood drive with Blood Centers of the Pacific.
‘Make Love, Not War' was once the rallying cry of a generation,” adds Perry Mann. “Yet I don't think that message has ever been timelier than it is today, and I don't think our show has ever been more topical either. We are going to make sure that the 2007 Exotic Erotic Ball and Expo is a very special event.”
